Orioles sign two International Free Agents
The Baltimore Orioles have agreed two terms with two international players. Infieldee Moises Ramirez and right handed pitcher Carlos Del Rosario.
Ramirez is 16 and Del Rosario is 19 making them both young prospects. The Orioles still have tons of international signing money to spend so keep an eye out for some big signings.
Here is the Orioles press release.
Orioles have agreed to terms with international players INF MOISES RAMIREZ, a 16-year-old out of the Dominican Republic, and RHP CARLOS DEL ROSARIO, a 19-year-old out of the Dominican Republic. Executive Vice President of Baseball Operations DAN DUQUETTE provided the following quote:
“Today’s signings are part of a coordinated plan for the Orioles to reestablish the club in the international recruiting arena. Ramirez has all the tools to be a solid offensive player in the middle of the diamond, and del Rosario has the size and pitches to develop into a Major League pitcher. Our player development staff looks forward to working with them to further develop their skills.”
