Orioles Series Recap vs Rays
Game 1- Orioles 2 vs Rays 0
Davis Hess and the Baltimore Orioles picked up win in game one of a three-game set against Tampa Bay Rays. Hess went 6.2 IP, 0 ER, 3 K, 3 BB. Orioles offense then supplied just enough for Hess to get his second career win. Adam Jones went 3-for-4, Valencia added an RBI, & Schoop added HR.
Game 2- Orioles 1 vs Rays 5
Andrew Cashner battles through a bad start to throw 5.0 IP, 5 ER, 4 K, 4 BB. Cashner did well other then the first two innings, allowing five runs on seven hits. The Orioles and Rays then played a boring game having seven hits combined after the first, with the Orioles offense coming alive for one fun in the seventh after Machado doubled and Davis singled.
Game 3- Orioles 3 vs Rays 8
The bats started quick scoring three runs in the first, getting a quick 3-0 lead, but as normal when the bats are hot the pitching is not.
Kevin Gausman had one of his worst performances of the year, throwing just 2.2 IP, 6 H, & 7 R. The pitching got better after, which may come as a surprise but Wright Jr. 2.2 IP, 2 H & Araujo 1.2 IP, 1 HR & Scott finished it throwing 1 IP.
