Orioles release minor league outfielder Jake Ring

The Baltimore Orioles have released minor league outfielder Jake Ring today, in what has been a day full of roster moves.

Ring, 24, had been struggling in Single-A Frederick this season, batting just .204/.304/.365 in 53 games played with the Keys. Ring has never made it past Single-A in his career thus far.

Ring was drafted by the Orioles in the 31st round of the 2016 MLB Draft out of the University of Missouri Columbia.
