Orioles recall Preston Guilmet

The Baltimore Orioles have announced that they have recalled right-handed pitcher Preston Guilmet from triple-A Norfolk. Guilmet is the corresponding move since they Orioles have optioned T.J. McFarland after last nights loss to the Houston Astros.

Guilmet has four saves for the Tides but carries a big 5.65 era.  Guilmet was acquired earlier this season from the Cleveland Indians.

Orioles recall RHP Preston Guilmet from Triple-A Norfolk

The Orioles today announced that they have recalled RHP PRESTON GUILMET (pronounced GILL-met)from Triple-A Norfolk.

Guilmet, 26, is 2-1 with a 5.65 ERA (14.1IP, 9ER) and four saves in 12 games for the Tides since being acquired from the Cleveland organization on April 7. In 2013, Guilmet posted a 1.68 ERA (64.1IP, 12ER), 20 saves and 10.1 strikeouts per 9.0 in 49 games with Triple-A Columbus. He was selected in the ninth round of the 2009 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Arizona. Guilmet will wear #63.
