Orioles Recall Kyle Stowers

The Orioles have recalled Kyle Stowers from Triple-A Norfolk today and have designated for assignment outfielder Brett Phillips. Stowers was up with the Orioles earlier this season due to Santander not being available to travel for a four game series with Toronto. Stowers went 1-7 in two games played with one double and one run batted in. In Triple-A Stowers played 95 games with the Tides, he hit .264 with 19 home-runs and 78 runs batted in. Kyle is currently ranked the 9th best prospect in the Orioles system according to MLB.com and 11th by Baseball America. Welcome back to Baltimore Kyle Stowers.
