Orioles option McFarland and recall Weeks

The Baltimore Orioles have optioned T.J. McFarland and recalled Jemile Weeks, the Orioles announced today.  The Orioles have Chris Davis ailing and could need an extra man on the bench.  Weeks can play the infield and outfield.

McFarland pitched three innings last night and will not be able to pitch for a few days.  Ian Jett had more on McFarland here.

Orioles recall INF Jemile Weeks from Triple-A Norfolk

The Orioles today announced that they have recalled INF JEMILE WEEKS from Triple-A Norfolk.

Weeks, 27, batted .296/.451/.481 (16-54) with four doubles, three triples and seven RBI in 17 games for the Tides.
