Orioles option Gausman

The Baltimore Orioles made a surprising move last night as they optioned Kevin Gausman to Triple-A Norfolk. The Orioles need bullpen help and will recall Brad Brach before today’s game.

Gausman will be able to start one of the games during next Fridays double header. The Orioles had a six-man rotation which I’d rare in the Majors. Still I do not like sending Gausman down even if it is temporary.

Gausman had been on a roll and has won three straight games.

Orioles option RHP Kevin Gausman to Triple-A Norfolk

The Orioles announced after tonight’s game that they have optioned RHP KEVIN GAUSMAN to Triple-A Norfolk.

Gausman, 23, is 3-1 with a 2.74 ERA (23.0IP, 7ER) in four starts for the Orioles this season.
