Orioles news and notes

I am a little late on some things trying to balance work and the blog.  So let’s get started on all the Baltimore Orioles stuff I have missed…

Wei-Yin pitches today for the Baltimore Orioles, the Orioles most consistent starter last season.  He needs to have a good start because the starting pitching has yet to settle in but I am not worried.  Pitchers tend to take longer to get into the grind of the season.

Chris Davis is no longer a secret in Baltimore.  After hitting four home runs in the first four games Davis has received a lot of national attention.  It all launched off after hitting the game winning Grand Slam against the Minnesota Twins.

Brian Roberts still can not stay healthy, he hurt a tendon in his knee while stealing a base.  He is expected to miss 2-4 weeks, so it is not a season ending thing.  Hopefully this is Roberts only injury this season but we can only hope.

The Orioles face the Boston Red Sox in a few minutes.  A team that is playing better than most people expected.
