Aaron Brooks got the start tonight, and it got tough early for the young pitcher. Brooks threw 3.2 innings, allowing all six runs and giving up nine hits.
Adam Jones and company got to Aaron Brooks in the first, as they went up 3-0 early. Brooks gave up an RBI triple, followed by two run-scoring singles.
The Birds got a run back in the third, from an RBI single off the bat of Richie Martin. This cut the Diamondbacks’ lead to 3-1.
Brooks would get hit again in the bottom of the third inning. He allowed two more runs to put the Diamondbacks up 5-1.

Gabriel Ynoa would come in relief in the fourth and pitched to Adam Jones. Jones would drive in another run to make the Orioles’ deficit 6-1.
The O’s rallied back in the fifth, with a pair of home runs by Hanser Alberto and Renato Nunez. These solo shots made it a 6-3 game.

Despite a good showing from the Orioles bullpen, who allowed no runs over 4.1 innings, the offense could not make its way back from the three run deficit.
Aaron Brooks takes the loss and moves to 2-4 on the season.
Our MSB Orioles Player of the Game is Hanser Alberto. Despite an error in the field, Alberto went 3-for-4 with a home run, as one of the three Oriole runs, and continues to dominate left-handed pitching.
Stay up late with the Orioles Tuesday night, as they attempt to tie up this series in Arizona against the Diamondbacks at 9:40 p.m. ET.
