Orioles lose sixth straight game

Tonight, the Baltimore Orioles fell to the Boston Red Sox eight to five. The Orioles put up five runs on eight hits with no errors. The Red Sox put up eight runs on nine hits with no errors.

Sadly, Red Sox got on the board first early in the game and never looked back. They scored all of their runs within the first six innings.

The Orioles’ luck looked like it was going to change in the bottom of the seventh inning. This was when Pat Valaika and Cedric Mullins hit back-to-back home runs. That would bring the game to eight to two.

Furthermore, in the bottom of the eighth inning, Cedric Mullins hit an absolute bomb to score three runs. The Red Sox led eight to five after eight innings.

Ultimately, this late effort by the Orioles would not be enough to rally back and take game two of this four game series.

The Orioles called up Ryan Mountcastle prior to today’s game. Mountcastle started in left field today for his MLB debut.

The Orioles look to end this six game skid tomorrow evening in the third game of the series.
