Orioles lineup and game preview: 6/20/19

The Baltimore Orioles begin a four-game West Coast series tonight against the Seattle Mariners.

The Orioles are coming off their eighth straight loss and sixteenth straight series loss. The Birds were swept by the Oakland Athletics in three games.

Tonight’s pitching matchup is RHP (3-8, 4.44 ERA) Dylan Bundy for Baltimore and RHP Taylor Scott (0-0, 7.71 ERA) for Seattle.

Trey Mancini is not in the lineup tonight after getting hit on his left elbow by a fastball high and inside from Chris Bassitt. However, Mancini said today that he feels better, and he is considering playing as soon as tomorrow.

In good news, outfielder Dwight Smith Jr. is back with the team, batting cleanup and playing left field after coming off the 10-day injured list. Smith Jr. was under concussion protocol after running into the left field wall at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Pedro Severino is doing the catching and batting third, while Rio Ruiz will play first base with Chris Davis yet again on the bench.

The team will also see a familiar face, as former Oriole Tim Beckham will be the designated hitter and bat seventh for the Mariners.
