Orioles drop series to Blue Jays after 12-3 game three loss: Recap 6/13/19
Gabriel Ynoa had the chance to help his team get a series win tonight, and despite a good outing, the Orioles bullpen let the game get out of reach.
Gabriel Ynoa pitched five innings, allowing seven hits and three runs. Ynoa pitched into the sixth inning, but failed to get an out.
The visiting Blue Jays got the scoring started in the second inning, when rookie Cavan Biggio homered off Ynoa. This gave the Blue Jays a 1-0 lead.
The Blue Jays would go up 2-0 in the third inning, off a RBI single.
Anthony Santander kept his bat going, getting back one run on a single to right field that scored Richie Martin. This cut the Blue Jays lead to 2-1.
Again in the fifth, Santander would would come through. This time Santander would show his hustle beating out a hard to play ground ball to the second baseman. This scored a run and tied the game at 2.
Gabriel Ynoa would give the Blue Jays the 3-2 lead after a home run in the sixth. Paul Fry would then come on in relief.
The Blue Jays would break it open in the sixth, scoring six runs off of Paul Fry to cap a seven run inning for the visiting team.
Heading into the seventh with a score of 9-2, the Blue Jays added three more in the bottom of the inning. Those three runs would come off Orioles reliever Josh Lucas.
The Orioles would get a garbage time run in the eighth, from Chance Sisco’s second home run of the season. This made the score 12-3.
