Orioles deal Cobb for Angels’ Jahmai Jones

In a flurry of trade moves that the Baltimore Orioles have done over the past few weeks, the Orioles have outright won this trade with the Los Angeles Angels. The Orioles have pulled some trade magic to get the Angels’ 2015 second round pick in Jones for their thirty-three year old pitcher with a 4.3 ERA over ten games last season alone.

With this move, the Orioles have added both line up depth and outfield depth all in one trade. In my frank opinion, I feel like the Orioles are shaping up to be contenders in the AL East, but we will find that out in time. I am so excited for April 1st to roll around so that I can write more game recaps and add some of these excellent signings in them.

Even though I enjoyed watching Alex Cobb pitch for the Orioles during his tenure here, I am glad that we were able to move him to a team that can help him further his career even more. I have even named a few of my fantasy baseball teams after Cobb (like Alex Cobb Salad among a few others). I look forward to seeing his success with the Angels.
