Orioles closer Zach Britton set for Wednesday rehab assignment
O’s closer Zach Britton is scheduled to start a rehab assignment Wednesday with Triple-A Norfolk. The left-hander is coming back from right Achilles tendon surgery that he suffered during the offseason while in California.
Britton threw a two-inning simulated game before the Orioles played the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday afternoon. Zach was able to go through some fielding drills setting himself up for a Wednesday evening rehab stint in Norfolk!
