Orioles Avoid Arbitration with Jonathan Schoop
Earlier today the Baltimore Orioles settled on a one-year contract worth $8.5M with All-Star 2B Jonathan Schoop. Thats not exactly what Schoop wanted, who first asked for a $9M arbitration deal, then the Orioles came back with a $7.5M offer. Only seems right that after a career year Schoop got more then the Orioles desired, agreeing closer to what Schoop felt like he was worth. Up next in the arbitration talks is ace pitcher Kevin Gausman, who’s hearing is scheduled for next week.
The Orioles have agreed to terms on a one-year contract for 2018 with INF Jonathan Schoop, avoiding arbitration.
