Orioles Announce Minor League Rosters

Orioles 2020 Top 30 Prospects list

The Baltimore Orioles Minor League teams have released their rosters for the 2021 season. The minors have been shut down since 2019 because of COVID-19, which has been unfortunate because the Orioles have a lot of intriguing prospects. The Orioles Double-A affiliate, the Bowie Baysox have former number one overall pick Adley Rutschman, along with his battery mate Left Handed Pitcher D.L. Hall on the roster. Rutschman is the number two overall prospect in all of Baseball, behind Tampa Bay Rays SS Wander Franco. So far in his career Rutschman has played in 37 games, hitting .254 with four home runs and 26 RBIs. We may see Rutschman called up to the majors at some point this season. D.L. Hall has a little more experience professionally, pitching in 46 games with a 2.96 ERA. Hall has thrown 185 1/3 innings racking up an impressive 228 strikeouts.

Baltimore’s number two prospect Grayson Rodriguez will be suiting up for the Aberdeen IronBirds. Rodriguez is a former first round draft pick out of high school. He has pitched in rookie ball and for the Delmarva Shorebirds posting a 10-6 record with a 2.46 ERA. INF Gunnar Henderson has been placed on the Orioles Low-A affiliate, The Delmarva Shorebirds roster. Henderson is the Orioles fifth overall prospect, who played 29 games in rookie ball. Heston Kjerstad, the Orioles first round selection in the 2020 MLB draft will report to the alternate training site.
