Orioles acquire pitcher Eshelman from Philadelphia

The Baltimore Orioles have acquired right-handed pitcher Tom Eshelman from the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for international signing bonus slots.

Eshelman, 24, was drafted by the Mike Elias-led Houston Astros in the second round of the 2015 MLB Draft out of California State.

This year in the minors for Philadelphia, Eshelman went 1-4 with a 4.61 ERA in 10 games between Double-A and Triple-A, all of which he started. In his career, Eshelman is 25-28 with a 4.18 ERA in 88 games.

Eshelman will report to Triple-A Norfolk according to MASN Sports Writer, Roch Kubatko.
