Norfolk Tides weekly recap: 5/7-5/19

The Norfolk Tides have struggled putting everything together to start the season, but there is reason for optimism for the Orioles Triple-A affiliate.

Hitters such as Ryan Mountcastle, Chance Sisco, and DJ Stewart have all been hitting well, but Norfolk pitchers have struggled for the most part, as they have not been able to keep up with the offense. Here is a recap from all of the recent games:

The Tides, through 40 games, sit one game below .500 at 20-21. The Tides offense has been great, as Sisco, Stewart, and Mountcastle continue to swing the bat well. Unfortunately the pitching can not keep up, and that will most likely be an issue all season.

Hopefully the Tides can focus on that and find a way to get more outs for the pitchers as the season goes along.
