No. 8 Maryland looks for sweep vs Michigan State

After a much-needed bye week, No. 8 Maryland is on the road to finish its final season matchup against Michigan State.

Senior Day for Maryland was electric as they defeated Illinois with a strong 2nd half-performance. With three games left of the season Maryland is looking to finish strong. Michigan State lately picked up two wins in a row. The Spartans and Purdue’s Wednesday matchup will happen at a later date.

Round One showed some good and bad

Maryland won 94-85 but, it was 94 points that made you sit on the edge of your seat. Maryland dominated with a strong third quarter and dominated in forcing points of turnovers. Five Terps were in double figures: Diamond Miller, Faith Masonius, Shyanne Sellers, Lavender Briggs, and Abby Meyers. Will we see another game like this?

What Michigan State will Maryland see?

Michigan State is currently 13-12 on the season, Michigan State is a team that Maryland should not sleep on. Michigan State is 1-5 against ranked opponents but has competed well in their matchups. Maryland must not find itself in a situation of a slow start which in some games has been a concern.

Once the regular season is finished, what does that mean for Maryland?

Maryland has a double-bye for the big ten tournament thanks to Indiana defeating Michigan. Maryland currently sits in third place within the big ten. With three games left Maryland will finish on a high note. There will be high emotion in this game, look for future WNBA draft pick Diamond Miller to lead the charge.
