NFL Start Em’ Sit Em’ Week 11 2018-2019

Another week of Football is finally here, and that means we at Maryland Sports Blog are here to give you our starts and sits for the week. Credit to Matt Bachota for coming up with the players for the starts and sits. Maryland Sports Blog will be covering the Redskins-Texans and Ravens-Bengals games this weekend.

Quarterbacks:

Start: Dak Prescott and Ryan Fitzpatrick

Dak Prescott is in for a huge game, as he matches up against a Falcons defense that just gave up 22.64 fantasy points to Baker Mayfield, and as they continue to miss Deion Jones and Keanu Neal, they will most probably struggle against Prescott. Ryan Fitzpatrick had a great start to the season, as he produced over 20 points through the first three weeks of the season, then proceeded to completely fall apart. However, Fitzpatrick faces a struggling Giants secondary, and he will look to throw the ball over 30 times.

Sit: Deshaun Watson and Kirk Cousins

Deshaun Watson is a sit due to him matching up against the emergence of the Redskins defense and how they’ve dominated Quarterbacks throughout the season(excluding Matt Ryan and Drew Brees). Kirk Cousins has to face the likes of Khalil Mack and Adrian Amos, and the Vikings will likely run the ball throughout the game, as it’ll be tough to pass.

Running Backs:

Start: Marlon Mack and Phillip Lindsay

Despite facing a Titans defense that surrendered just 10 points to the Patriots last week, Mack has been a sleeper for Indianapolis, as he recorded two games in the last four weeks with over 25 non PPR points. Phillip Lindsay faces a tough Chargers defense, but as the clear number one running back in Denver, look for him to continue to succeed as he will receive most of the carries.

Sit: Chris Carson and Jordan Howard

Chris Carson is splitting carries with Rashad Penny, making him too risky to start, as Penny’s workload will continue to increase. Jordan Howard faces a Vikings defense that is ranked 3rd in NFL.com leagues, and gave up just 4.40 points two weeks ago to Kerryon Johnson, making him a sit.

Pass Catchers:

Start: DJ Moore and Austin Hooper

DJ Moore has slowly become a vital option in the Panthers offense, as through the first three weeks of the season, he caught just two receptions, and in the last three weeks, his reception count went as follows, 5, 1, and 4, making him a good flex option in a deep league. Austin Hooper is ranked as the 8th best Tight End in NFL.com leagues, and is coming off an 11.6 point performance against the Browns.

Sit: Allen Robinson and Jack Doyle

Allen Robinson continues to be a sit, as his inconsistent play makes a bad option for Fantasy Football. Additionally, Robinson is in a bad matchup, as he will most likely be guarded by star Cornerback, Xavier Rhodes. Marlon Mack may have been named a start this week, but Jack Doyle has been splitting downs with Eric Ebron, who has emerged into a great Tight End for the Colts. Look for Ebron’s workload to increase and for Jack Doyle to slowly disappear as the starting Tight End.

Kickers:

Start: Ryan Succop and Matt Prater

Ryan Succop will look to get a substantial amount of opportunities as he faces a decent Indianpolis defense indoors. Succop produced 10 points last week against New England, and will look to continue rolling. Matt Prater will likely be involved in a shootout between the Panthers and Lions, so look for him to get plenty of opportunities for points.

Sit: Cody Parkey and Graham Gano

Cody Parkey recorded just 2 points last week, and hit the uprights a whopping four times, making him a clear sit. Graham Gano hasn’t had a double digit fantasy performance since Week 8 against Baltimore, making him a sit.

Defenses:

Start: Chargers and Cardinals

The Chargers face an average Broncos offense, and will look to continue rolling with the likes of Joey Bosa and Derwin James from their stellar defense. The Cardinals face the Raiders in what could be a game which decides who gets the number one overall pick in the draft, but the Raiders offense has shown no signs of improvement, making Arizona’s defense a start.

Sit: Jaguars and Eagles

Both the Jaguars and Eagles defenses face two of the top offenses in the Saints and Steelers, making them sits. Look for the stars such as Alvin Kamara and Antonio Brown to shine in big games for Jacksonville’s and Philadelphia’s defenses to fall apart.
