The Navy Midshipmen upset the Holy Cross Crusaders, 50-48, Sunday afternoon in men’s college basketball action at Alumni Hall in Annapolis.

Navy improves to 5-8 on the season but 2-0 in the Patriot League with the victory. The loss drops Holy Cross to 10-5 overall and 1-1 in the Patriot League.

Despite long stretches of poor shooting from both teams, the game was exciting to the very end. Hasan Abdullah gave Navy the final lead with a jumper with :01 left on the clock. Following a timeout, Holy Cross turned over the ball to end the game.
