Navy Beats Tulsa, 37-29, on Senior Day
The Navy Midshipmen broke their seven-game losing streak by beating the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, 37-29, Saturday afternoon. It was Senior Day for the Naval Academy.
Navy senior quarterback, Zach Abey, rushed for 128 yards and two TDs on 26 carries. Malcolm Perry picked up 76 yards on the ground to climb over 1,000-yards rushing for the second season in a row. Nelson Smith scored two TDs for the Midshipmen on just five carries. Micah Farrar had an interception to highlight an impressive day for the Navy defense.
Seth Boomer threw for 206 yards for Tulsa, throwing one interception. Shamari Brooks led the Golden Hurricane in rushing with 81 yards, but Corey Taylor II ran in three TDs.
Navy improves to 3-8 on the season. Tulsa drops to 2-9.
