Nats to recall Stevenson, Sanchez to replace Murphy and Adams

In response to the trade of Daniel Murphy to the Cubs and the waiver claim of Matt Adams to the Cardinals, the Nats have recalled up two younger players, both from Syracuse. 24-year old OF Andrew Stevenson and 28-year old INF Adrian Sanchez are both back. Both made their debuts last season, and contributed to the team as much as they could.

Stevenson is a speedster and a contact hitter, so make sure you see him possibly becoming a guy in either the top of the order if he does well or if he hits not that well, he’ll probably be the 8 or 9 hitter.

Sanchez is a good fielder, and what’s good is he is flexible and can play any infield position except for first base. He’s more of a fielder than a hitter, so you’ll probably see him on the field doing better than hitting.
