Nationals win with walkoff 3-2: Recap 7/2/19

The Washington Nationals beat the Miami Marlins Tuesday evening at Nationals Park in regular season action. The Nationals record currently stands at 43-41. The Marlins drop to 32-51.

Patrick Corbin pitched a very strong seven innings for Washington. Corbin allowed six hits and strikeouts while pitching. Sean Doolittle allowed one hit and two strikeouts in relief for Washington.

In the bottom of the first, left fielder Juan Soto homered to right center (384 feet), Trea Turner scored.

At the bottom of the ninth, shortstop Trea Tuner doubled to deep center, Gomes scored.

With a win over the Marlins, the Nationals play game two of the series tonight at 6:05pm. Pitching for the Nationals will be Stephen Strasburg.
