Nationals lose to White Sox 7-5: Recap 6/11/19

The Washington Nationals lost to the Chicago White Sox Tuesday evening at Guaranteed Rate Field. The Nats record currently stands at 31-36. The White Sox move to 32-34.

Patrick Corbin pitched a very strong five innings for Washington. Corbin allowed six hits and five strikeouts while pitching. Javy Guerra allowed one hit and one strikeout in relief for Washington.

In the top of the first inning, third baseman Anthony Rendon homered to center (409 feet), Trea Turner scored.

In addition, at the top of the eighth inning, Yan Gomes doubled to deep center, Dozier scored and Kendrick scored.

Finally, at the top of the ninth inning, Anthony Rendon homered to left (395 feet).

With a loss to the White Sox, the Nationals play a four game series with the D-backs starting tomorrow at 7:05pm. Pitching for the Nationals is Erick Fedde.
