Nationals lose to Braves 4-3; recap 9/6/19

The Washington Nationals lost to the Atlanta Braves on Friday evening at SunTrust Park. The Nationals’ record currently stands at 78-62. The Braves move to 88-54.

Patrick Corbin pitched a very strong five innings for Washington. Corbin allowed three hits and nine strikeouts while pitching. Tanner Rainey allowed two hits and zero strikeouts in relief for Washington.

In the top of the eighth inning, first baseman Ryan Zimmerman homered to left (433 feet), Kendrick scored and Rendon scored.

With a loss to the Braves, the Nationals play game three of the series tomorrow at 7:20pm. Pitching for the Nationals is Austin Voth.
