Nationals lineup and preview: 7/14/19
After defeating the Phillies and obtaining the series win, the Washington Nationals will once again take on the Philadelphia Phillies for the final contest in the three-game series today at Citizens Bank Park.
The aforementioned win was mainly due to Juan Soto’s two-run home run in top of the ninth which would propel the Nationals to a 4-3 victory.
Now, Washington holds a 49-42 record, which is good enough for six games behind the division leader, Atlanta Braves, who stand at 56-37. As for Philadelphia, the club owns a 47-45 record, which places them in third place in the N.L. East division.
Moreover, the pitching matchup for today’s contest is scheduled to be RHP Aníbal Sánchez(5-6, 3.66 ERA) facing off against RHP Jake Arrieta(8-7, 4.67 ERA). Here’s the lineup for today’s game:
