After dropping another game in the bottom of the 9th last night, the Nationals turn to Gio Gonzalez (7-8, 3.89 ERA) to better their fortunes this evening at Busch Stadium.

Gonzalez was strong last time out, allowing only one run in seven innings. St. Louis sends right-hander John Gant (4-4, 3.89 ERA) to the mound. Opposing batters are only hitting .198 against him at home.
