Nationals Lineup: 2/27/18
The Nationals (1-3) will face the Marlins today at 1:05 for their fifth Spring Training game. Their lineup, per the Nationals’ Twitter, is as follows:
- Trea Turner-SS
- Matt Wieters-C
- Bryce Harper-RF
- Anthony Rendon-3B
- Miguel Montero-DH
- Howie Kendrick-2B
- Brian Goodwin-LF
- Michael A Taylor-CF
- Chris Dominguez-1B
- Gio Gonzalez-P
The biggest surprise of this lineup is Matt Wieters hitting second, with guys like Goodwin and Taylor who fit much more naturally in that role hitting seventh and eighth respectively. It is possible that since Wieters is fighting for his starting job, manager Dave Martinez wants to see him get more plate appearances.
