Nationals Fall Back Below .500 With 3-0 Loss vs Mets

It was a different day but it was the same song and dance for the Washington Nationals as they took another one on the chin at the hands of the New York Mets.

The Mets got on the board first with a single from Wilmer Flores in the bottom of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead. This lead would last due to Jason Vargas holding the Nationals scoreless on just three hits through six innings. New York added on with a two run home run by Jay Bruce in the eighth inning to defeat the Nationals 3-0, sending Washington back below.500 at 64-65.

Nationals will attempt to even up the series tomorrow as Tanner Roark takes the mound at 4:05 PM
