Nationals beat Rockies 3-2: Recap 7/24/19

The Washington Nationals beat the Colorado Rockies in Game 1 of the Doubleheader Wednesday afternoon at Nationals Park. The Nationals record currently stands at 54-46. The Rockies drop to 47-54.

Erick Fedde pitched a very strong four innings for Washington. Fedde allowed three hits and two strikeouts while pitching. Sean Doolittle allowed one hit and two strikeouts in relief for Washington.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Parra walked, first baseman Matt Adams scored, Dozier to second, Suzuki to third.

At the bottom of the fifth, right fielder Adam Eaton homered to right (394 feet).

Lastly, in the bottom of the seventh, third baseman Anthony Rendon homered to center (393 feet).

With a win over the Rockies, the Nationals play game two tonight at 7:05pm. Pitching for the Nationals will be Patrick Corbin.
