Nationals beat Phillies 2-0: 6/19/19 Game 2

The Washington Nationals beat the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday evening at Nationals Park in regular season action. The Nats record currently stands at 35-38. The Phillies drop to 39-34.

Max Scherzer pitched a very strong seven innings for Washington. Scherzer allowed four hits and ten strikeouts while pitching. Wander Suero allowed zero hits and two strikeouts in relief for Washington.

In the bottom of the second inning, second baseman Brian Dozier homered to left (382 feet).

At the bottom of the eighth inning, Victor Robles homered to the left center (400 feet).

With a win over the Phillies, the Nationals look to sweep the series at 7:05pm. Pitching for the Nationals will be Stephen Strasburg.
