Musical goalies, Grubauer now out with a tweak. Caps recall Copley

Phillip Grubauer played the whole game Monday, making 28 saves in a 4-2 win, making it a big question mark to having three goaltenders on the ice for practice on Tuesday morning. Grubi as he is know to his teammates, suffered a lower body “tweak” causing the cautious recall of Pheonix Copley back to Washington.

According to the Washington Post ” Holtby is expected to make his first start in more than a week Wednesday night, and Trotz said whether Grubauer or Copley serves as Holtby’s backup will depend on how Grubauer feels Wednesday morning.”

Phillip Grubauer has started twice as many games as Braden Holtby this month, and he has a .938 save percentage with a 1.88 goals against average in his last 25 appearances (not games as he has replaced Holtby in net a few times).

Copley,  has a 14-16-6 record with two shutouts, a 2.86 goals-against average, and a .898 save percentage in 38 games with Hershey this season.
