MSB Predicts: Ravens vs. Dolphins
The magic of Thursday Night Football returns tonight as the Baltimore Ravens host the Miami Dolphins. The two worst ranked offenses will battle it out in those magical color rush uniforms. So far every Thursday night game has been great, so here are some bold predictions that keep the trend going.
Alex Collins will rush for over 100 yards tonight. Aside from last week against Minnesota, Collins has been playing way better than expected. Aside from the two fumbles in his first two games, Collins has been able to break a run of at least 25 yards in almost every game he’s played. Now that he has taken over the starting role, it’s time for him to break out the dancing shoes and Irish jig all over the Dolphins.
The Ravens’ defense will get back to form. This defense has been historically bad for Ravens standards. With Brandon Williams back, this defense should be able to stop Jay Ajayi and the Dolphins offense. Matt Moore gets his first start this season for Miami since Jay Cutler got injured last week. Fellow MSB writer Isaiah Stumpf predicts both Eric Weddle and Tony Jefferson intercept passes and Chanan Rothenberg thinks the Ravens will score a defensive touchdown.
Even though this game is between the two worst offenses in the league, expect a shootout. The over/under for this game is 38, tied for the lowest of any game in the NFL this week. But, Thursday Night Football is a different stage. It has given us some of the craziest, most surprising games of the year. With that in mind, Sam Smith’s bold prediction is that this will be a high scoring night, with over 55 combined points. Zachary Blankenship thinks tonight will be Breshad Perriman’s coming out party. Blankenship says Perriman will lead the team in receptions and catch a pair of touchdowns.
Everyone’s hoping for an entertaining game with a Ravens win. A majority of MSB writers predict the Ravens to come out on top with a multitude of score predictions.
Isaiah Stumpf: 41-17 Ravens
Jeremy Train: 35-31 Dolphins
Sam Smith: 31-28 Ravens
Shawn Marsh: 13-10 Ravens
Erick Seltzer: 13-9 Ravens
My prediction: 24-21 Ravens in a game winning drive.
