Max Scherzer Wins N.L. Player of The Week

Washington Nationals pitcher, Max Scherzer, won this week’s N.L. Player of The Week. Additionally, Houston Astros pitcher, Justin Verlander, won the A.L. Player of The Week.

Scherzer pitched in two outings,(both being starts) against the Atlanta Braves and the Colorado Rockies. Scherzer’s stat line against the Braves on April 9th, 2018, goes as follows, 9 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 10 strikeouts, and a 0.90 ERA. The statline for Mad Max’s bout against the Rockies on April 14th, 2018, goes as follows, 7 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 11 strikeouts, 1 HR and a 1.33 ERA.

To top all of those statistics, Max Scherzer added to his resume from this week with a stolen base. This is the 4th time that Scherzer has won a Player of The Week Award, three with Washington, and one with the Detroit Tigers.
