Maryland-Bucknell Game Time Announced

Maryland gets set to take on Bucknell on Saturday, November 18th at the XFINITY Center.  The game is now set for 8:30pm.

Maryland will first take on Stony Brook on Friday, November 10th in New York for the first game of the season.  The Terps will then host Maryland Eastern Shore two days after on Sunday, November 12th, then host Butler in the Gavitt Games on Wednesday, November 15th.

Bucknell was a NCAA Tournament team in 2016-17 as a 13 seed and lost to West Virginia in the 4-13 matchup in the second round.  Bucknell lost that game 86-80 after one of the most entertaining games of the tourney last season.  This game is one of Maryland’s tougher non-conference games, in a weaker schedule until Big Ten play starts up.  Bucknell, Butler, and Syracuse are those non-conference games that go a long way when Selection Sunday rolls around.

Mark Turgeon said in a recent interview that freshman center Bruno Fernando will be ready for action against Stony Brook as well.  There will be no restrictions in playing time as he has recovered very fast from his high ankle sprain that kept former Terrapin forward Dez Wells out of action for weeks.
