Marlon Brown may become the Ravens biggest WR find ever
The Baltimore Ravens have been terrible at drafting wide receivers, bust after bust after bust. From Travis Taylor to Yamon Figurs it seems like Torrey Smith has been the Ravens only really good home grown wide receiver.
Enter Marlon Brown an undrafted rookie free agent who has just jumped onto the scenes and is quickly becoming one of Joe Flacco’s most reliable targets. Brown has stepped in after Jacoby Jones got hurt and already has eight receptions for 110 yards and two touchdowns.
The more impressive thing is that Flacco is still getting comfortable with Brown. Brown is a tall and quick wide receiver with big hands he had a knee injury that really lowered his draft stock. That knee injury might have been a huge blessing for the Ravens because Brown looks like someone who will be good for years to come. Also, he has show no signs of the past injury.
It may be too early to tell how Brown’s career will turn out but I have been really impressed by him. The Ravens have always lacked a really big receiver with good hands and Brown might be that answer. The Ravens have not been able to draft receivers that well so why not an undrafted guy. This guy has all the physical tools to become a top flight receiver and is fitting in well.
Update: Brown had another touchdown reception against the Buffalo Bills. Told you he is good!
Here is a video of Brown and Aaron Mellette.
