Plus Upcoming MLL Draft Info

Major League Lacrosse has responded. After a week of announcements from the Premier Lacrosse League, with the player-team rollout on Twitter, or the Cascade deal, or the set date for the inaugural college player draft which will be on April 22 on NBC Sports, the MLL needed to do something to remind fans that they’re still the first pro lacrosse league.

Thursday night, during the Loyola-Duke game, the MLL unveiled a new logo, a new look website, and commissioner Andy Brown letting fans and players know that Major League Lacrosse will all about fans and players.

There was a vignette styler video of several of the leagues players walking through smoke with their lacrosse sticks in their hands and Colin Heacock, attackman for the Chesapeake Bayhawks, says, “Its time for a change, and that they are ready and asks the MLL fanbase if they’re ready? (You can view this video on the MLL Instagram page. )

The media campaign slogan is being called “We Ready”. The leagues current teams, players and coaches tweeted photos on social media with the new logo and with the new slogan.

Major League Lacrosse will be having their collegiate draft this Saturday from the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C.

The Ohio Machine will have the first pick in the 7 round draft that will be aired live on Lax Sports Network.
