Lebron boosts Cavaliers odds

This should come as no surprise but Lebron James return to the Cleveland Cavaliers has greatly boosted their odds of winning and making the playoffs for the 2014-2015 NBA season, according to SBRpicks.com.  The Cavs have also jumped in the to ESPN NBA power rankings to number two.  The last time Lebron was with the Cavs he did not win a single championship but now with more experience under his belt the pros are still betting on him.

James won two championships with the Miami Heat since returning home and is considered the best player in the NBA and he is still less than 30 years old.  It is realistic to believe that with the right talent and coaching James has a few more championship runs in him.  Lebron’s biggest challenger Kobe Bryant has shown his age the past few seasons and Lebron has been close to being in a league of his own.

Lebron was extremely young when in his first run with the Cavs, coming right out of high school to play in the NBA and playing for his hometown team.  Lebron became a quick super star and while the sponsors and ad deals came his way winning was tough at times in Cleveland.  Lebron wanted attention for everything including his signing announcement, which he had a huge special for.  Lebron’s competitiveness were never questioned but his greediness and maturity was.  Part of Lebron’s going to the Heat was the chance to win and play on a bigger stage.  Lebron’s departure from Cleveland was not well received but Cleveland fans have welcomed him back with open arms.

Let’s face it, when you think of Cleveland and sports you think of the Browns and failing franchises.  Without Lebron the Cavs were another failing Cleveland franchise, now that he is back it is no surprise that they are expected to be back on top.
