The Navy Midshipmen travel to Hamilton, NY Saturday afternoon to face the Colgate Raiders in men’s lacrosse.

Coming off a 13-9 loss to Holy Cross last weekend, the Mids are 4-5 overall this year and 2-3 in the Patriot League. Colgate will try to rebound from a 21-7 to #6 Loyola last time out which dropped the Raiders to 3-6 on the season and 1-3 in the conference.

Leading the Raiders on offense is senior attackman, Sam Cleveland. With a team-high 11 assists combined with 11 goals, Cleveland has 22 points this year. Midfielder, Griffin Brown, has contributed 19 points on 14 goals and five assists for Colgate. Nicky Petkevich, attackman, also has 19 points in 2019, scoring 16 goals and adding three assists.

Defensively, Colgate relies on senior Connor Mullen in goal, who owns a 50.0 save percentage. Long-stick midfielder, Nick Salameda has a team-high 12 caused turnovers. Malcolm Feene, a junior, has scooped up 45 ground balls for the Raiders and has won 51.9 % of his faceoffs.

Navy has lost three games in a row. Colgate has lost four. Somebody’s luck is finally going to change Saturday at 2:00 pm at Andy Kerr Stadium. Look for the recap here at the Maryland Sports Blog after the game.
