Knicks preview-New York has lost five of six, and is playing the back end of a back-to-back. In last night’s loss to the Spurs, the Knicks gave up ten 3-pointers, and coughed up the ball nearly double to San Antonio (14-8). If the Knicks want to compete against Washington, they need Porzingis to be a big factor in the game, especially after shooting a dismal 5-19 from the field, and a team high four turnovers. Some others to watch are Kanter and Lee, who are both averaging 13 points a game, and Beasley, who off the bench, is averaging 12 points and five rebounds a game.
Wizards preview-Washington is coming off a performance, in which they shot 44% from 3-point range (16-36), including seven from Beal, who had a monster game scoring 39 points (16-29 FG). The Wizards have won four of their previous five games, and this season against teams who are under. 500, they are 10-10. After tonight’s game, Washington will fly out to Tennessee to play the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night, and then after that they will play there next five at home.
