Jones will participate in home run derby

Baltimore Orioles center fielder Adam Jones will be participating in the home run derby.  Last season Chris Davis was in the home run derby so this is the second year in a row an Oriole will be in it. 

Jones has 16 home runs on the season so far.  Jones got off to a slow start but has been hitting home runs since the weather changed.

This will be Jones’ first home run derby.  The Orioles have to worry about Jones getting worn out, past home run derby contestants have had a bad streak after the derby.  Some have said that it has messed up their swing.
