Johnny Football embarrasses himself in first career start

I have said all along that the Cleveland Browns starting quarterback,Johnny Manziel aka Johnny “Football” will be one of the biggest busts the NFL has seen. Tons of hype has been thrown at Manziel by ESPN who for some reason made him out to be a football god. Like I predicted Manziel did not even fair average in his first career start. Manziel’s final numbers were that of a quarterback having a career worst day.  Here is just one of the articles I wrote earlier about how the Browns and Manziel will not work out.

Looking at the numbers Manziel finished with only 80 passing yards, going ten out of 18. Manziel’s average pass was only 4.4 yards and most of those yards came on one 32 yard completion. Manziel threw two interceptions and did not score any touchdowns. Manziel’s final quarterback rating was a horrific 27.3.  During that game Manziel’s qb rating went as low as 12, which is really hard to do.

One of the upsides to Manziel was his running capability, which I also said would not translate well into the NFL. Manziel only ran for 13 yards on five carries.

Now the Cleveland Browns were facing a good team in the Cincinnati Bengals but the Browns are a pretty good team. Getting shut out at home is embarrassing enough but putting up those sore of numbers is just horrible. The Browns had a winning record at seven and six with Brian Hoyer starting.

The AFC North features four teams with tough defenses and the Browns still need to face the Baltimore Ravens at home. The Ravens will be in the playoff hunt and I am sure they are not scared when hearing they have to face Johnny “Football.” The Ravens will had eight sacks against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the heat will be on Manziel in week 17.
