Washington preview-The Wizards will be playing San Antonio both times in less than 6 days. Washington remains in the 5th spot in the Eastern Conference standings, but they are 1 game back of the Cleveland Cavaliers for the 3rd spot. Washington’s balanced scoring attack on Saturday was the key in there victory over the Pacers, as Beal scored 19, Gortat scored 18, and 6 other Wizards players scored 6 or more points, and they shot nearly 55 percent from the field, and were 50 percent (10-20) from 3-point range, and were 19-23 from the foul line. After Wednesday’s game. the team will fly home to D.C., to play the Denver Nuggets on Friday night.

San Antonio preview-Winners of four straight, the Spurs, who last week were on the outside of the playoff chase, are now the 5th seed in the Western Conference, but 3rd-8th seeds are 4.5 games apart. Kawhi Leonard remains out for San Antonio with a quad injury. Aldridge has picked up the slack in Leonard’s absence, as he is averaging nearly 23 points and 8 rebounds this season, and in his last five games, Aldridge is now averaging over 25 points a game. Also, keep an eye out for long time veterans, Rudy Gay and Paul Gasol, who are averaging 11 and 10 points per game respectively. San Antonio leads the NBA averaging 99 points allowed per game.
