Homecoming weekend for the Towson Tigers

Towson University is having their homecoming this weekend and has tons of great games scheduled.

The headliner of course is the football game on Saturday. The Tigers will host CAA newcomer Elon at Johnny Unitas Stadium Saturday at 4:00. Towson is coming off their bye but won their last game against rival Delaware 24-17.

Elon is coming off a 30-16 loss to Richmond and have a 1-7 record. The Tigers have a 3-5 record but if they win their remaining games, they would end the year with a winning record.

Before the football game on Saturday there are other events that are noteworthy. The Women’s volleyball team play Thursday and Friday night.

If the Women’s volleyball team win on Thursday against Northeastern and Friday against Hofstra they would host the CAA tournament. If Towson lose to both Northeastern and Hofstra, Hofstra would host the CAA tournament with the best record.

Both teams have a 21-3 overall record but Hofstra has a better conference record with 9-1 while Towson is 7-2. The Tigers also play a home game Sunday afternoon versus the College of Charleston.

The Tigers matchup Friday night will be the determining game for the regular season CAA champions. If you can’t make it to the game, apparently there is something else going on that day, be sure to tune into the live broadcast on towsontigers.com. The game time is set for 7:00.
