The Hershey Bears have extended their long running losing streak to eight games on the road this Saturday. Five minutes later Nathan Walker would bring the Bears within on goal with a power play goal. AHL all stars Travis Boyd and Chris Bourque would both get assists on the play. With less than a minute left in the game Bridgeport’s Ben Holmstrom would score a short-handed empty net goal at 19:16 in the final period. Bridgeport would come out on top 3-1.
Hershey would outshoot Bridgeport 33-26. This brings Hershey’s record to a last play 17-21-3-4. The Bears will host the Charlotte Checkers at home on Saturday February 3, 2018. Giant Center puck drop will take place at 7pm. Hershey will also host the Checkers on Sunday with an early 2pm puck drop so fans can be home in time for the NFL SuperBowl!
