Hershey loses mid-weekend away game against Milwuakee Admirals 5-1

The Hershey Bears played their second of seven away games on Saturday evening against the Milwaukee Admirals.

It would be Yakov Trenin to score first at 4:15 in the first beating Hershey Bears goalie Vitek Vanecek to give the Admirals a 1-0 lead. Vitek would stop five more shots before Matt Donavan would take advantage and gain a power play goal for the night, after Steve Whitney was sent to the box for tripping. The goal came at 19:09 in the period and earned Frederic Allard and Jeremy Gergoire assist points on the play.

With the Admirals at a 2-0 lead, Milwaukee would open up the second period with the first of three goals in less than 5 minutes. At 8:42 in the period Tyler Gaudet would put the Admirals ahead by three. Gaudet caught a pass from Yakov Trenin and found the back of the net, giving him his second goal of the season. Eeli Tolvanen would get the fourth goal of the night at 11:34 in the period, and less than a minute later at 12:26, Nicholas Baptiste would make it 5-0 headed into the final stanza.

With shots even at 17-17 headed into the third, Derek Hulak would get the only Hershey goal of the night, ending Admirals’ goalie Troy Grosenick’s chance at his first shutout of the season. The goal came in at 3:53 in the final period, which Maximillian Kammerer and Connor Hobbs both tallying a point with assists.
