Hershey Beats Charlotte 5-1 to start of 2018!

The first period ended scoreless and Charlotte would be the first to score at 13:27 in the second with Jake Chelios finding the back of the net. It wouldn’t be long after that Hershey responded with John Albert finding a pass from Dustin Gazley at 14:44. Tyler Lewington would get the secondary assist and the game was tied. Seconds before the second period ends at 19:30 Riley Barber would score his tenth goal of the season giving Hershey the lead.

The third period opened up and Colby Williams would give the bears a two goal lead at 6:08 in the period. Nathan Walker and Dustin Gazley would both get an assist as the score came to 3-1. Zach Sill would get his third goal of the game when Masson Mitchell passed the puck and brought the game to 4-1. Charlotte would pull their goalie with seven and a half minutes left in the game, and Wayne Simpson would quickly take advantage of the empty net at 13:59 in the period making the final score 5-1.

Hershey will host Charlotte yet again on Sunday with the puck dropping at 5pm.
