Hershey Bears Sign Hammond, Add Depth to D

The Hershey Bears continues with another defensive signing, today the Bears sign Tariq Hammond (D) to a 1 year AHL deal. Link to signing here

Hammond, a product of Calgary, spent 4 years at Denver U and was a part of the 2017 NCAA Championship squad. He spent 44 games at Bingo last season with 1 Goal and 2 assists.

This is a defensive depth signing, Hammond should be slated from South Carolina this year. After last season’s rash of defensive injuries, the Bears are loading up on D this season. Hopefully a few forward signings are coming as we head into the dog days of summer, 13 weekends until we play hockey again..Sigh.
