Hershey Bears look to repeat last nights effort against the Checkers in Charlotte again

Hershey Bears (13-14-0-3)  at Charlotte Checkers (19-10-0-1)
Thursday, December 21, 2017, 7:00 p.m
Bojangles Coliseum

REFEREES: Corey Syvret (42), Beaudry Halkidis (32)
LINESMEN: Tim Lyons (#33), Max Nicastro (#28)

After a five goal first period outburst last night in Charlotte, the Bears gave up four unanswered goals to hold onto a 5-4 victory in North Carolina. The Bears will look to continue pouring on goals but will likely need to have a full sixty minute effort tonight rather then the twenty minute effort they had just twenty four hours ago. Tonight we should see the return of defenseman Conner Hobbs who has been out numerous months with a wrist injury. The rookie defenseman played in ten games for the Hershey Bears recording one goal and one assist this season, but had a -9 +/- stat that is a little hard to put on him as the goaltending at the time was highly questionable.

The Bears with a win tonight can get back to a .500 record and can look to Binghamton on Saturday to sweep the week.

If you didn’t read the early article todayThe Washington Capitals reclaimed forward Nathan Walker off waivers from the Edmonton Oilers yesterday. Walker has reported to the Capitals, and because of the NHL’s holiday roster freeze, he could not be assigned to Hershey until December 28. We will see what happens with Walks as the time grows closer. For now he is with Washington in Arizona as the Caps take on the Arizona Coyotes on Friday night!
